Literature Text

Sitting at the top of the hill, they looked
To the stars in the nocturn sky,
He shifted his head downward,
And asked one word: "Why?"

He felt a hand on his shoulder,
And he turned to see her eyes
Blazing with fire and sorrow,
He understood why she told lies.

She would be leaving him
To join the ranks of the stars,
She didn't know when her time was,
But the reason was determined.

She kept it a secret
So that he wouldn't weep
But she couldn't keep it forever,
By then it would be too late.

Naturally he did not welcome,
In fact he sulked and sulked,
Tears stained his clothing,
And he cursed the name above.

Time allowed the poor souls
To finally come together this night,
They stood hand in hand
And called fate out to fight.

But it was no use,
Fate had already spoken,
They tearfully locked arms,
Their spirits now broken.

She declared her everlasting love
As he took her hand to hold,
He kissed her and held her,
As he spoke in true words bold:

"I love you...
And I'll miss you..."
Doomed love.
It's a terrible subject that is in fact sadly true. It has been on my mind for some time, and so I finally decided to write it down.
To which I say, make the most of the time you have. Live every minute in happiness.
